Data Entry Operator

Job Summary:

The Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in company databases and systems. The role requires attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in processing both numerical and text-based information.

You’ll be expected to handle confidential information, perform regular quality checks, and ensure data consistency across multiple sources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter and update customer, product, or company information into databases or spreadsheets.
• Verify and correct data where necessary (detect errors or missing information).
• Retrieve data from databases or electronic files as requested.
• Prepare and maintain digital and paper records for easy retrieval.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection guidelines.
• Ensure daily targets are met and deadlines are achieved.
• Work closely with the reporting manager or team lead to complete assigned projects.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Fast and accurate typing skills (25–35 words per minute recommended).
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with Google Sheets, CRM, or ERP tools (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic English reading/writing ability; fluency in Tamil preferred for local communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks effectively.

Education & Experience:

• Qualification: 10th / 12th pass or any degree (BA, BCom, BSc, etc.).
• Experience: Freshers can apply; 0–1 year preferred.
• Training: Basic computer or typing training is advantageous.

Salary Package:

• ₹12,000 – ₹18,000 per month (depending on experience & shift).
• Some employers offer attendance bonuses, incentives, or overtime pay.
• Paid training and free meals in select offices.

Work Schedule:

• 6 days per week (Monday – Saturday)
• Sunday off (in most companies)
• Rotational or fixed shifts available
